HIV and STIs
Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Public health nurses perform investigations and notify partners of all cases of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) reported by health-care providers in Lewis and Clark County. Providers report cases of syphilis, Chlamydia, hepatitis B, MPOX, gonorrhea, and HIV/AIDS. See this list for reportable communicable diseases in Montana(PDF, 203KB).
Our public health nurses can provide affordable treatment for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea infections and provide resources for medical follow-up if needed.
Who's at Risk for HIV?
In the United States, HIV is spread mainly through anal or vaginal sex or by sharing drug-use equipment with an infected person. Learn more about how to protect yourself and the people you love from HIV.
