Payments

Payments the court will accept:

• Online payments for obligations to Justice Court are accepted at: CitePayUSA
  
  
• Cash - (The court discourages the payment of fines by cash through the mail; the money is too easily lost)
  
  
• Money order
  
  
• Cashiers check
  
  
• Personal checks - (but only if the check was written on an account at an instate-bank)

If you wish to make a payment by check, money order or personal check from an in-state bank, the check should be made payable to Justice Court and the payment sent to the court at 228 Broadway, Helena, Montana, 59601. Please include the name of the person that owes the money in the envelope with the payment.

Payments the court will not accept:

• Personal checks from out-of-state banks
  
  
• Post dated checks
  
  
• Two party checks

Personal checks for payment of fines or restitution when the underlying offense was that of issuing a bad check.

The court will only send a receipt for a payment if you enclose with your payment a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
