Road Maintenance Scheduled for Several County Roads in August

Lewis and Clark County and Montana Materials & Construction will be conducting maintenance on several roads beginning August 10-31, 2026. Work includes chip sealing, scrub sealing, and epoxy line painting. 

Chip Sealing | August 12–19
Golden Estates, Floweree, Holmberg, Emerald Ridge, Heron Creek, Munger, Schmidtville, North Valley Downs, Applegate Meadows, North Star, Town View, and McHugh.

Scrub Sealing | August 20–26
West Custer, Williams, Lake Helena, Collins Dr./Masonic Home, Vandenburgh Village, Forestvale, Mill Rd., Erickson Rd., and McHugh Ln.

Epoxy Line Painting | August 27–31
All of the roads listed above, plus Wylie Drive, Valley Forge, Horseshoe Bend

What to Expect:

• Temporary road closures as needed during chip sealing and scrub sealing operations.

• No parking on affected streets while work is underway. Vehicles and trailers left on the roadway during operations will be towed.

• Construction hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. M-F

• Please slow down, use caution in work zones, and watch for workers and construction vehicles.
