NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The Lewis and Clark County Commissioners Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at 9:00

AM in Commission Chambers Room 330.

 

It is the policy of the Board of County Commissioners to render a decision at a later date after they have had

ample time to consider all oral and written public testimony. The BoCC may render a final decision on the same

date if substantial new information is not received. Public comment must be limited to matters under the

jurisdiction of the Commission.

2. Consent Action Items

a. Public Meeting Minutes for August 23, 2018; April 11; September 26, 3, and 8, 2019. (Nadine

McCarty)

 

3. Grant Award to Lewis and Clark County from Montana Disaster and Emergency

Services. (Leo Dutton)

The Commissioners will consider accepting the grant award from Montana Disaster and

Emergency Services in the amount of $140,000. These funds will be used for the cost of the

Radio Administrator position with the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's office.

 

4. Interlocal Agreement Between Lewis and Clark County and the City of Helena. (Leo

Dutton)

The Commissioners will consider the Byrne Justice Assistant Grant (JAG) interlocal

agreement between the City of Helena and Lewis and Clark County in the amount of $14,644.

These funds will be used by the Sheriff's Office for costs associated with the Missouri River

Drug Task Force Deputy position.

 

5. Change Order No. 3 to the Contract Between Lewis and Clark County and Bullock

Contracting, LLC. (Dan Karlin)

The Commissioners will consider the change order to the contract with Bullock Contracting,

LLC. on the Lake Helena Drive and Lewis Street Intersection Improvement Project for the

changes in scope with an increase in contract price of $3,400.00.

 

6. Grant Award to Lewis and Clark County from Montana Disaster and Emergency

Services. (Marvin Weber)

The Commissioners will consider accepting the grant award from Montana Disaster and

Emergency Services in the amount of $105,000. The funds will be used for the certification

training costs for EOD members of the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office.

 

7. Grant Award to Lewis and Clark County from Montana Disaster and Emergency

Services. (Reese Martin)

The Commissioners will consider accepting the grant award from Montana Disaster and

Emergency Services in the amount of $51,300 federal funds with a local match of $12,825 for

a total of $64,125 for the Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Program. The grant

period is October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.

 

8. Public comment on any public matter within the jurisdiction of the Commission that is

not on the agenda above.
