Helena, MT – Franklin Mine Road will be closed to through traffic from Head Lane to Green Meadow Drive beginning Monday, May 22, 2023 for extensive road reconstruction work. The reconstruction includes work on road drainage and grading, realignment of corners, culvert replacement, road-milling surfacing, chip seal, and painting.
With heavy truck traffic in the area, Franklin Mine Road will be local traffic access only from Green Meadow Drive. Copperhead Road and Old Iron Road will also be local traffic access only. Delays should be expected. All traffic from Head Lane and Copperhead Road should use Head Lane South to Country Club Road.
Nonresidents are advised to use alternate routes during the construction. The road closure is expected to be in effect through June 2023.
