Helena – The Lewis & Clark County Motor Vehicles Department announces title and registration appointments can now be scheduled online for recently purchased vehicles at https://www.schedulicity.com/scheduling/LCCAUQS/services.
The online scheduler allows customers to make appointments up to six weeks in advance. For those purchasing from a dealer, customers should wait to schedule an appointment until receiving a notification letter from the Motor Vehicles Department that the title work has been received.
Until now, appointments have been by phone or coming in-person.
“We are very excited about this new system,” said Lewis & Clark County Treasurer/Clerk & Recorder Amy Reeves. “Streamlining and identifying efficiencies is a priority and in the coming months, the public will begin to see changes in Motor Vehicles and ease in registering and renewing vehicles.”
The online appointment system is for Lewis and Clark County residents to make appointments to title vehicles owned by them or their business. Scheduling by phone is still available at 406-447-8328.
Vehicle registration renewals can still be done entirely online at https://app.mt.gov/vrr/renewal/index.html, by using the drop-box at the City-County Building Motor Vehicles Department (316 N. Park Ave.) or by walk-in, no appointment necessary.
If coming in-person, people are reminded to check lines on the Motor Vehicles web cam: https://bit.ly/2XORUzr
The Lewis and Clark County Motor Vehicle Department is open Monday-Friday (except Holidays), 7:30 am – 5:00 pm on a first come, first serve basis, and for title appointments between 8:00 am – 4:15 pm. No title work is processed after 4:30 pm. Staff are answering phones 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Anyone who reaches the messaging system should leave a message and will receive a call back.
