Helena – The Consolidated City and County Planning Board on August 4 recommended approval of the 2020 Draft Part-2 County-Initiated Zoning map and regulations for the Helena Valley Planning Area.
The proposed zoning project will be heard by the Lewis and Clark Board of County Commissioners beginning on Sept. 22, 2020 at the Great Northern Hotel Conference Center from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Three additional hearings, all at the Great Northern Hotel Conference Center, have been scheduled to ensure adequate time for public comment and participation; and for the Board to deliberate.
Those hearings are as follows:
Sept. 23, 2020 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; September 28, 2020 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and October 6, 2020 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public comment will be accepted orally at the hearings until 4 p.m. on September 28th and in written form received by the County Community Development and Planning Department by Noon on September 30th. The Board plans to begin its deliberations at the October 6th meeting.
