Groundwater Matters: How is Our Underground Water? More than 50% of the residents in the District receive their drinking water from wells that tap into groundwater. The District recently completed a study that looks at where that water comes from, where it goes, and just how clean that water appears to be. The study area includes the Helena Valley and surrounding area. (map) Visit our groundwater page for an overview of the results and more on groundwater or dive right into the technical report.
