About the Water Quality Protection District
The Lewis and Clark County Water Quality Protection District was formed in 1992. Its mission is to preserve, protect and improve water quality and quantity within District boundaries.
District Fees and General Information
District activities are funded through a special assessment that is part of your property tax. County residents pay $10.75 a year and residents of Helena and East Helena pays $8.80 a year. The fee is based upon water usage for city, non-city, commercial and industrial units.
