Valley Drive Reconstruction begins June 8

Helena, MT – Helena Sand and Gravel, Stahly Engineering, and Lewis and Clark County will be performing work on Valley Drive between Canyon Ferry Drive and Plant Road during the summer months. Work will consist of a complete reconstruction with added capacity and center turn lane for approximately ½ mile of Valley Drive. The project will include curb and gutter, storm drain systems, new paving, and signing.

Valley Drive is aging and needs maintenance as well as increased capacity and improved safety for the traveling public. The project is expected to begin June 8, 2023 and conclude in mid-August. Traffic control will be in place for much of the project. Valley Drive between Plant Road and Canyon Ferry will remain closed to thru traffic during the construction. Local traffic will be encouraged to utilize connecting roadways to the west of Valley Drive to access their homes. Construction notices will be dispersed prior to work beginning to help aid those affected with the project.
