The prisoner extradition and transport staff is comprised to two sworn deputies responsible for coordinating prisoner extraditions in and out of Lewis and  Clark County.  They handle all prisoner transports to and from court hearings, the Montana State Prison, Montana State Hospital, inmate medical appointments, and other facilities.

The average number of transports total per year is 435 and the average number of extraditions per year is thirty-eight.
