Jail Working Group

What?

The jail working group is a group of county citizens representing several departments that have come together to review Lewis and Clark County Detention needs.

Why?

In May 2011 an outside group reviewed the Lewis and Clark detention facility, and while it was considered very clean and efficient, it was still lacking in size for the population it is required to detain.  After careful consideration the county has decided to take steps to rectify the issue, one of which is to create the working group.
