Criminal Investigations
There are three Investigators in the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's Office. The Investigators work day shifts during the week; however, one is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for major incidents.
The LCSO Investigators handle a wide range of duties. They are responsible for all major investigations, as well as conducting routine case work involving burglaries, thefts and criminal mischief. The Investigators work closely with the Fire Marshal to determine the cause of all suspicious fires and also work with the Coroner in cases of suicides or unattended deaths. They coordinate all investigations with city, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
